Agentic AI for Product Designers

Get hands-on with agentic AI built around the way designers actually work. Leave with workflows you can apply to real projects on Monday.

Audience

Who Should Attend

  • Product designers who want to move beyond generating assets into directing full product pipelines
  • UX and UI designers navigating teams where AI is changing how software gets built and shipped
  • Senior designers and design leads responsible for design systems, cross-functional alignment, and delivery quality
  • Creative directors and technical artists who work at the intersection of design and production
  • Founders and product leaders with a design background who want to ship faster without losing craft
Before you arrive

Prerequisites

  • Familiarity with product design workflows and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working within cross-functional product or development teams
  • Basic exposure to LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Midjourney is helpful but not required
Curriculum

Agenda

Overview

Agentic AI for Product Designers is a practitioner-led, full-day workshop designed for experienced designers who want to lead, not follow, the shift to agentic product development. The curriculum is grounded in real production workflows, not demos or concept decks.

The day runs in two arcs. The morning builds the foundation: how agentic systems work, where design judgment fits inside them, and how to direct agents with the same precision you bring to a design brief. The afternoon goes hands-on with the two capabilities that change the designer's role most: using AI to create production-ready design systems, and integrating those design systems as constraints inside an agentic development workflow.

You will not write code. You will direct systems that do.

Agenda

Morning: Foundations (9:00 – 12:30)

9:00 – 9:30 — Welcome and context setting How agentic AI is reshaping the product development lifecycle. What changes for designers, what stays, and why design judgment becomes more valuable, not less.

9:30 – 11:00 — The agent loop How agentic systems perceive, reason, act, and remember. Live walkthroughs of production agent loops. Where design inputs shape agent behavior and where they break down.

11:00 – 11:15 — Break

11:15 – 12:30 — Mapping your opportunity space Structured exercise: participants map their own workflow's highest-leverage opportunities for agentic AI. Where are you the bottleneck? Where can an agent take the load? Group share-out.

Afternoon: Building (13:30 – 17:00)

13:30 – 15:00 — Design systems with AI How to use agentic tools to generate, extend, and maintain a production-ready design system. This is not style guides as PDFs. This is a living system your agents can read, reference, and enforce across a build.

15:00 – 15:15 — Break

15:15 – 16:30 — Design systems inside agentic workflows How to wire your design system into an agentic development pipeline so agents build to your spec, not around it. The designer moves from delivering comps to setting the constraints agents operate within.

16:30 – 17:00 — Closing and Q&A Personal action plans. What to bring back to your team. Resources for continuing the work.

Certification

Participants who complete the workshop receive a credential issued by the Centre for Digital Media upon successful completion.

What you will leave with

Learning Outcomes

  • Direct agentic systems using design judgment, not code
  • Build a production-ready design system using AI-assisted workflows
  • Integrate a design system as a constraint layer inside an agentic development pipeline
  • Map your product's highest-leverage opportunities for agentic AI
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the design-to-deployment pipeline with confidence
  • Apply a repeatable agentic design workflow to any future project
On completion

Certification

Certification badge

Earners of this badge demonstrated the ability to integrate agentic AI into professional product design practice. They applied agentic workflows to generate and maintain production-ready design systems, wired those systems into agentic development pipelines, and mapped high-leverage opportunities for AI adoption within their own design workflows.
